nb Dreamcatcha is a 60ft semi-traditional narrowboat built in 2003.

Paul and I have owned it since 2014.

This blog is our record of our journey with Dreamcatcha from January 2014. We will also look back at how we got to this point.

We repainted the boat in 2021 as the paint was looking tatty by this point, so we decided to go for a stealthy black look, the roof we decided to keep as the cream colour as it looks nice (and was easier to just give it another coat of paint). Pictures on the site of nb Dreamcatcha will be both the blue and black version of the boat.

Follow us on our travels on the inland waterways and canals of the United Kingdom, we make use of various apps and technology on the boat, but on the blog here one thing we us is What 3 Words app, so in the blog you will see /// followed by three random words, that the location that we was at. The internet speed that we describe are using speedtest.net, we have a great 4G router with external aerials on the boat and wifi inside the boat so this gives us an advantage over the cheaper 4g routers that most people use.
